Holiday RSVP

Holiday RSVP allows nurseries to send out Holiday RSVPs to selected groups or individual parents.

Creating a Holiday RSVP

To create a Holiday RSVP, navigate to:

  • More > Holiday RSVP > Click + Add RSVP request.

In the create screen, update all required fields, which include:

  • Holiday Name

  • Holiday Period

  • Recipients

    • This can be sent to all children, a group, multiple groups, or individuals.

    • This works in the same way as our Newsletter.

  • Response deadline:

    • This will default to 7 days before the start date of the holiday period.

    • The response deadline has to be on/before the holiday period start date.

    • Parents will receive a notification reminder via email and in the Parent App.

    • If the deadline has passed, the Parent will need to contact the nursery to update the RSVP.

    • Description: This is auto-filled. However, the nursery can edit and update.

    • Once complete, click Send.

Top Tip: The holiday period can be 1 day, several days, or weeks. For example, the summer holidays.

Top tip: Parents will be able to select the days their child will not be attending. Please see the screenshot in Holiday RSVP for Parents.


Parent Responses

To view responses, navigate to:

  • More > Settings > Holiday RSVP > Click into the specific entry.

Here you’ll see the Holiday RSVP entry, how many children it was sent to, how many have responded, and children with no response.

  • You can click into the specific child and view their response in detail.

  • If there is “no response”, you’re able to click into it and update it for the Parent.

The responses will update the following areas:

- Child’s Absences Page (Child > About > Absences)


Holiday RSVP for Parents

💡Top Tip: Parents will need to update their Parent App to the latest version.

Once the nursery has sent the Holiday RSVP, the Parents will receive an email and a push notification on their parent app.

On the Parent App home screen, Holiday RSVP will be visible, and the Parent will click “confirm holidays”. The Parent will mark the days that their child won’t be attending.

In the app view, there is a reminder for Parents to highlight that “Days marked as attending only count if a session is booked”.

Once selected, the Parent will click confirm, and the responses will be sent over to the nursery.

If a Parent has missed the deadline, they will see "Response window closed" and a message that highlights that "The deadline has passed. Contact your nursery directly if you need to discuss your plans".
